VMCC Virtual Desktop Clocks

While I’ve focused a lot of energy on making my own clocks, I realize that there are many ideas I’ll never touch, or own for that matter. That’s where this project comes in. A desktop application for all my clocks AND those I will never own. Virtual clocks if you will.

The application is freely available to download and install. There are ~60 or so clocks in a number of categories.

Click here to go to the download site for the MS Windows installer.  – (Note: If you have trouble installing with windows defender, try right clicking on the installer file and, from the general tab, check the “unblock” checkbox)

Click here for a distribution that will run on Linux/Mac (requires Java 11+ to be installed).

There are ~60 or so clocks in a number of categories. Some are mine, some are classics by established clock and watch makers. These all function as independent windows that can be placed anywhere on your desktop and can be top-most window if you like.

They remember their placement and settings between use. Each clock operates on it’s own, can be set to whatever timezone you wish, will operate as an alarm clock, etc. Many of them have sophisticated complications like moon-phase or stop-watch, or animation of some sort.

Best of all is what this isn’t. This app isn’t shareware, bloatware, freemium software, spyware, etc. It won’t ask for registration, it doesn’t capture your personal information for sale, it doesn’t bombard you with inane advertising. It just animates beautiful vintage clocks on your computer desktop.
